Responsibilities and Duties

• Prepare and produce food as per the requirements of the Head Chef, the Hotel and the guests.

• Cook guest food orders to accommodate guest requirements, quality check food produced before serving to the guest.

• Liaise with the Head Chef regarding stock levels, assist in the control of costs and minimise wastage.

• Ensure that deliveries are stored away in a timely manner to maintain the freshness of the food/produce and to adhere to food hygiene standards.

• Employ good food hygiene and cleanliness best practices and make sure that all kitchen staff members do the same.

• Liaise closely with Food and Beverage personnel, work effectively as a team to ensure that there is a smooth dining experience for all guests.

• Liaise with the Head Chef to create new menu ideas, keep up to date with current trends and look to identify exciting developments in the food offered by the Hotel.
