Job Overview
This is a customer facing role and is often the most memorable part of a guests stay at the hotel.
It can be very fast moving at times, where the need to be organised and efficient is imperative and will therefore require a well organised approach to work.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Ensure that restaurant related crockery, cutlery, glassware, condiments, etc. are prepared for service.
• Greet customers, take orders and deal with enquiries on menus in a knowledgeable and friendly manner.
• Be fully conversant with the facilities, services and promotions offered by the Hotel and where possible pass this information onto the guests whenever the opportunity arises. Upsell where possible.
• Serve drinks, snacks, meals, afternoon tea to guests in an efficient manner within the Hotel including outside areas.
• Clean, clear and set tables as required.
• Maintain cleanliness in the restaurant, bar areas, back of house and cellar areas at all times. Comply with all record keeping requirements such as checklists and deep cleaning rota’s, etc.
• Handle cash, accept payments and operate the tills, ensure that billing is accurate, that all items are added to the bill and guest signatures are taken.
• Participate in providing excellent service to Hotel guests during Conferences, Weddings and Events.
